Compare the Hekla ranges

Hekla makes five ranges of home sauna, lined in thermally modified aspen and sold through local stockists, so you can sit in one before you buy. Two are indoor saunas for a spare room, garage or basement. Three are outdoor saunas built for the garden all year round.

Every range comes in more than one size. 2 person saunas suit a couple or a small room, 3 to 4 person saunas give you room to stretch out, and 5 to 6 person saunas seat the whole household.

Compare the ranges, then open one to see every model. Still weighing up heat, setting and budget? The sauna buying guide takes you through the decision, and our guide to what a home sauna costs covers prices across the market.

Home sauna FAQs

Price depends on the range, size and heater you choose. Every model on this page shows its price, and the heater options and control panel are priced separately in the Recommended configuration on each product page. Our guide to how much a home sauna costs walks through every tier with real prices. Running costs are a separate question, covered in our guide to sauna running costs.

An indoor sauna needs no groundwork and fits a spare room, large bathroom, garage or basement. An outdoor sauna becomes a feature of the garden but needs a prepared base and clear access for the build. Our sauna buying guide walks through the decision in full.

A traditional sauna heats the air with a stove and stones, reaching 70 to 90°C, and you can pour water over the stones for steam. An infrared sauna warms your body directly, so the cabin stays at 45 to 60°C while you still sweat deeply. See our infrared vs traditional comparison.

Most indoor Traditional models are sauna kits and assemble in a few hours. Outdoor saunas can be assembled yourself or built by your Hekla stockist, and need a prepared base and one metre of clear space on all sides before build day.

Most garden saunas fall under permitted development in the UK, but it depends on size, height, siting and any restrictions on your property such as a conservation area or listed building. Check with your local planning authority before you order.

Our cabins are lined in thermally modified aspen, with thermally modified spruce staves on the barrel saunas and a weatherproof black WPC shell on the garden cabins. Read more about Thermo-Aspen and why we build with it.

Still deciding?

Not sure which suits you? Visit a showroom and feel the heat for yourself.

We sell through independent stockists, so you can sit in a Hekla and talk it through with someone who installs them. Your stockist can deliver the sauna and build an outdoor model for you, or you can assemble it yourself.

Every cabin is lined in Thermo-Aspen, and every model is ETL listed and CE marked.
