Compact but doesn't feel it, and the cube shape looks fantastic. Superb quality throughout.
We chose the wood-fired heater and it has been magical on cold evenings. A real design piece.

FAQs
Your choice. The Cube arrives as a kit with three foundation beams, so you can assemble it yourself on a prepared base, or your Hekla stockist can build it for you. Ask them when you order. Either way, your electrician connects the heater once the build is done.
Flat, level, solid and permanent. A concrete slab is ideal, and reinforced paving over a proper sub-base also works. Grass, gravel and soil do not. Allow three feet of clear space around the footprint for the build. Each model page lists its footprint.
Both, depending on the model. The Cube 210 and 250 take the Harvia Cilindro electric heater at 9 kW or the Harvia Linear 18 wood-burning stove at 14.3 kW. The Cube 160 is electric with a 6.8 or 9 kW Cilindro, and the Mini Cube uses the wall-mounted Harvia The Wall. Wood means fuel, a 45 minute light-up and ash to clear. Electric means a timer and a phone app. It is ritual against convenience, and both are good saunas.
Mini Cube two, Cube 160 two, Cube 210 four and Cube 250 six. The glass front makes even the Mini feel bigger than its 133 cm width.
A little, and it is worth it. The front is double glazed and the door is 8 mm tempered glass, so the cabin reaches 158 to 194°F in 30 to 45 minutes on the electric heater and holds it with the door shut. You lose a touch more than a solid wall would. You gain the view.
A 40 mm thermo-spruce frame for the shell, with thermo-aspen benches and duckboards inside. Both are heat treated timbers, so they shrug off rain and frost without paint or preservative. Scandi and Nero finishes. Every Cube has a three year warranty and an accessories kit with bucket, ladle, hygrometer, thermometer and timer.
That is rather the point. Thermo-spruce is stable in frost, heat-up time barely changes in the cold, and the walk back to the house through crisp air is part of the ritual.
