FAQs

A garden sauna with a flat roof, straight walls and a full glass front, rather than the round barrel or the rounded cube. Ours pair a weatherproof black exterior with a thermo-aspen interior. The Mini Cabin seats two, the Cabin four.

WPC, a wood and plastic composite. It does not rot or fade, never needs painting, and stays black through wet winters. Inside is thermo-aspen, the same heat treated timber that lines our indoor saunas.

Electric. Both models take the Harvia The Wall heater, 6 kW in the Mini Cabin and 9 kW in the Cabin, chosen in the recommended configuration on the model page. If you want a wood-burning stove, look at the barrel or cube ranges.

The Mini Cabin is 64 by 78 in and the Cabin 72 by 78 in, both 92 in tall. Add three feet of clear space on every side for the build, and a flat, level, solid base such as a concrete slab.

You can assemble it yourself or have your Hekla stockist build it for you. Ask them when you order. Your electrician wires the heater afterwards on an outdoor-rated supply.

A little, and it is worth it. The front and door are 8 mm grey tempered glass. The cabin still reaches full Finnish temperature, and the view out is the reason people choose a cabin over a solid-walled sauna.
