heklasaunas.com is run by Superior Wellness Limited, trading as Hekla Saunas. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 07617796, at Superior House, Broombank Park, Chesterfield, S41 9RT, United Kingdom.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Some are set by us. Others are set by companies whose services we use, such as Google. We also use your browser’s local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
2. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice. You can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category in Cookie settings.
Only necessary cookies are on until you choose. Scripts that set analytics, functional or marketing cookies stay switched off until you allow their category. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of all non-essential cookies.
We use Google Consent Mode. It tells Google’s tags which categories you have allowed, so they do not use advertising storage unless you accept marketing cookies.
3. The categories we use
Necessary. These cookies make the website work and keep it secure. They remember your cookie choices and protect our forms from spam. They are always on and you cannot switch them off.
Functional. These cookies run features you choose to use, such as the map in our showroom finder. If you switch them off, the showroom finder map will not load.
Analytics. These cookies tell us how people use the website, such as which pages they visit, so we can improve it. They load through Google Tag Manager, which only runs once you allow this category.
Marketing. These cookies record how you reached us, such as the advert or campaign you clicked, and help us measure and target our advertising.

5. Videos and other services
Some sauna galleries include videos hosted on YouTube. When you play a video, YouTube, which is owned by Google, may set its own cookies, such as YSC and VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE. You can read how Google uses them in Google’s cookie policy.
We load our fonts from Adobe Fonts. Adobe receives your IP address so it can send the fonts to your browser, but it does not set cookies.
6. Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your choices at any time. Select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, switch categories on or off, and save. When you switch a category off, we delete the cookies it set and reload the page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the website, such as our forms, may not work.
When we add new categories or change how we use cookies, we ask for your consent again.
7. How we record your consent
Each time you accept, reject or change your choices, we keep a record so we can show that we asked. The record holds the categories you chose, the date and time, the language of the page, an encrypted form of your random ID and browser type, and a shortened IP address that cannot identify your device. We keep these records for 24 months and then delete them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use. The date below shows when it last changed.
