The thermo-aspen finish is stunning and the heat is gorgeous. Wish we had done it years ago.

FAQs
Yes. Every indoor Traditional runs a Harvia The Wall heater at 6 kW or 9 kW, and that has to be hardwired to its own circuit by a qualified electrician. Budget for it alongside the cabin. If you want a sauna that plugs into a normal socket, that is the infrared range.
Between 70 and 90°C at bench height, with the air kept dry until you ladle water over the stones. Most people start nearer 70 and work up. Allow 30 to 45 minutes to reach temperature from cold.
The Traditional 160 seats two or three in a 63 by 47 in footprint. The 210 seats three or four, the 210x four or five, and the 220 seats six. All four are 79 in tall. If it will usually be two of you, the 160 is the better sauna rather than the compromise. It heats faster and costs less to run.
A level floor, headroom above 79 in, a power supply for the heater and some ventilation. A traditional sauna lets out warm, moist air every time the door opens, so an airbrick, a window or an extractor nearby keeps the room fresh and the walls dry. No plumbing or drainage is needed.
Yes. The cabins are quick-build kits and most go together in a few hours with two people. The heater connection is the one job to leave to your electrician. Our guide to sauna kits explains what arrives and how the build goes.
Knot-free thermo-aspen. It is aspen that has been heat treated rather than chemically treated, so it does not weep resin, stays comfortable to sit on at full heat and holds its colour. The door is 8 mm grey safety glass on a soft-close hinge. More on thermo-aspen.
Every Traditional includes an accessories kit with a water bucket, ladle, hygrometer and thermometer, and a sauna timer. The heater and control panel are chosen in the recommended configuration on each model page and priced separately. A three year warranty comes as standard.
